Taste of Cranford Returns on May 28th!

We're excited to announce that Taste of Cranford returns on May 28th from 4-8PM! Taste of Cranford is a collaboration with Cranford Community Connection and is a pay as you go event with sample-sized pricing.

• To make sure that our restaurants properly prepare, we are asking that you purchase a bracelet for $5, which will be donated to Cranford High School 2024 Project Graduation. Tickets can be purchased here: https://www.eventbrite.com/.../2024-downtown-cranford....

• The rain date will be May 29th and any change to the date will be announced on social media.

• Bracelets will be available for pick up the day of the event starting at 4pm at Eastman Plaza.

• Please try to use cash when possible, in order to make the process easier for restaurants.

Announcing the Downtown Cranford Business Development Series!

Downtown Cranford and UCEDC, Resources & Solutions for Small Business are excited to announce the Downtown Cranford Business Development Series! The first program takes place on April 23 8:30-10AM at Cranford Theater and will focus on Branding with a presentation from Business Boosters. The presentation will explore the ways your favorite tools can be sabotaging your brand-building efforts and provide actionable steps you can take to course-correct. Upcoming programs include Designing Your Success: Unlocking Canva's Potential for Entrepreneurs (May 15), Navigating Social Media for Small Business Success (June 12), and Google My Business (July 10). More information on these upcoming presentations will be shared closer to the event dates.

Downtown Cranford Premieres the Senior Citizen Film Series!

Tickets for our first movie of the Downtown Cranford Senior Citizen Film Series are available now on Eventbrite! You can reserve your tickets here. We will be showing "Singin' In the Rain" at the Cranford Theater on April 17th at 4pm. Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis to Union County senior citizens (55+). There will be a guest speaker prior to the movie and a Q/A after. Please reach out to the DMC Office with questions (908) 709-7208.

This event is made possible by funds from the Union County Office of Culture & Heritage Affairs, a partner of the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.

Update for Spring Hop Participants!

We wanted to update you on pick up times for totes:

  • Friday 3/22 - 3pm-6pm at the Municipal Building - 8 Springfield Avenue (park in the back parking lot and enter through the Health Department door.  The DMC Office is room 17 right around the corner.

  • Saturday 3/23 - 11am-4pm at Martin Jewelers (12 North Avenue West).  Come through Lot 7 to the lower lot.  You can park right behind the store to run in to pick up your tote.

  • Monday 3/24-Tuesday 3/25 8:30am-4:30pm at the Municipal Building - 8 Springfield Avenue (park in the back parking lot and enter through the Health Department door.  The DMC Office is room 17 right around the corner. 

 Businesses have offered participants to stop by at their convenience throughout the week to pick up eggs between Saturday 3/23- Saturday 3/30.  We are also open to you adjusting your time slot on Saturday if there is a window that the weather is clear.  The map will include everyone’s store hours so you can plan accordingly. We appreciate your understanding as we have tried to come up with a solution for the potential weather on the horizon. As stated in the registration, there are no refunds for this event.

Order Tickets for the 2024 Spring Hop in Downtown Cranford!

The Spring Hop is in less than two weeks so don't forget to order your tickets! This year's Spring Hop takes place on Saturday, March 23, and you can purchase tickets for the 12-2pm or 2-4pm time slot. Children will be able to pick up eggs at 20+ downtown businesses and every participant will also win a Golden Egg! Registered participants can pick up bags starting at 11:45am the day of the event at Eastman Clock Plaza. Everyone had so much fun at last year's Spring Hop - you don't want to miss this!
