Tomasello Winery opened a tasting room in Downtown Cranford at 109 Walnut Avenue, just as NJ residents found themselves staying at home almost exclusively. Despite that, people have been frequenting the winery to buy bottles of wine, enjoying some wine at their outdoor seating, or ordering takeout.

Tomasello Winery has been around since 1933 and is currently run by the 4th generation of winemakers. The winery produces around 50 varieties of wine, with something for everyone’s palate. Tomasello’s offerings include dry wines, sweet wines, hard ciders, sparkling wines, and more. The Cranford tasting room sells the entire portfolio of wines, with costs ranging from around $11 to $40. The location is also offering a takeout menu for Fridays which provides an appetizer, entrée, and dessert for under $20. Eventually the tasting room will also serve up small plates with a focus on local ingredients.

Dreyer Farms had been the site of Tomasello Winery’s previous tasting room in the area, but the owners recognized that they needed a larger space. They loved Cranford and were thrilled when they were able to open in the new location on Walnut Avenue. Customers who want to order wines can do so via the website, by stopping into the winery, or over the phone.

Once NJ opens for indoor dining, Tomasello Winery will be able to offer about 20 seats for customers. In addition to serving up small plates, the winery also hopes to partner with BYO restaurants in the area. We’re so happy that the owners of Tomasello Winery found the perfect spot in Cranford to expand their business to.
