Purchase Gift Cards
The Downtown Cranford Gift Card is a great gift for everyone on your list including co-workers, friends, family, teachers, and coaches! Downtown Cranford Gift Cards are available in $5 through $500 denominations, and can be redeemed at any business currently participating in the program, including many of your favorite restaurants and retail stores. We have over 130 participating businesses.
Please note that if you are purchasing online that the charge may show up as “Miconex” or “Downtown Gift Card” on your credit card statement.
You can also purchase your card in person at the DMC Office which is located in the Cranford Municipal Building.

We are located in Room 17 which is on the first floor around the corner from the Health Department. We suggest you park in the back parking lot and come in through the Health Department door.

Do you accept AMEX? What forms of payment do you take?
We do not accept American Express in the office but you can use it when purchasing cards online at www.downtowncranfordgiftcard.com but we do take all other forms of credit and debit cards. We also accept cash or check.
Can I use the same gift card at multiple locations?
Yes, as long as there is a remaining balance, the card may be used at any participating location. We have over 130+ stores in Cranford that you can use it at!
Will my gift card work anywhere?
The card can be used at any approved location that has signed up for the program. If you are a brick and mortar business in Cranford who hasn’t signed up yet, scroll down to join or get more info.
Where can I check my gift balance?
Check your gift balance here: www.getmybalance.com or call 1-800-755-0085. You can also call our office at 908.709.7208 – we will need the card number to look it up for you.
What do I do if my gift card is declined?
If your card is declined, it could be because:
- The value on the card is less than what is trying to be redeemed. Have an additional payment form ready in this instance.
- You are trying to redeem it at a non-participating business or that business has changed their POS system and has not updated it with our office.
Will my payment automatically deduct from the card if I don't have enough to cover my entire balance?
In the event that your purchase exceeds the amount in your balance, purchases will need to be split up separately with the card balance being paid first and then using a separate payment method.
Can I use my Downtown Cranford gift card online?
If a participating store has a website that accepts credit cards, you can manually enter in the card information on the back for your purchase.
Is there a cost associated with purchasing a gift card? How much does it cost to purchase a card?
There is a $2.50 processing fee for each card which helps cover the cost of the transaction fees when the purchase is done in the DMC office. There is a flat $3.50 shipping/processing fee when you purchase online through the website www.downtowncranfordgiftcard.com. We can have the cards available for pick up even if purchasing online. The card recipient and merchant receive the full value for the card, providing maximum benefit to local businesses.
What happens if my purchase amount exceeds the balance on my gift card?
In the event that your purchase exceeds the amount in your balance, you will need to have a separate form of payment to cover the difference of the purchase amount.
