If there is one thing New Jersey residents can’t get enough of, it’s bagels. That’s just one reason why we’re so excited to announce the opening of Belle’s Bagels at 11 North Avenue East! Once owners and Cranford residents Cayla and Dave Ricca perfected their bagel recipe, the next step was finding the ideal location for their bagel shop. Located right across the street from the train station, and just a few steps from Eastman Plaza, Belle’s Bagels is looking forward to serving up homemade bagels to a variety of customers, 7 days a week.
“We moved to Cranford a few years ago and are raising our daughter here,” said Cayla. “We love Cranford and feel like this is our way to give back to the community.” Downtown Cranford was thrilled to officially cut the ribbon at Belle’s Bagels with family and DMC Board members in attendance.
Belle’s Bagels offers 10 varieties of bagels: plain, everything, sesame, egg, whole wheat, poppy, salt, sunflower seed, French toast, and blueberry cinnamon swirl. Customers can top their bagels with butter or a selection of cream cheeses, including scallion, vegetable, and jalapeno. If you’re looking for a breakfast or lunch sandwich, Belle’s Bagels has you covered. Traditionalists can start their day off with an egg and cheese sandwich, while others may be tempted by Bacon Me Hot, Sweet and Salty, Lox Me Up, and more. There are also chicken cutlet sandwiches served on bagels, while tater tots and hash browns can be ordered as a side.
“We want Belle’s Bagels to be a neighborhood spot,” said Cayla. “It’s our goal to have a place in Cranford where everyone feels welcome and you can expect to run into people that you know.” Belle’s Bagels opens at 6am on weekdays, making it the perfect early morning stop for commuters before they start their day. Cayla and Dave currently plan to open at 8am on Saturday and Sunday, though the hours may change in the future.
Welcome to the Downtown Cranford business community Cayla and David! We appreciate your investment in Cranford and how your love for this town shines through.
