This Saturday, February 26, is the Fire & Ice event in Downtown Cranford. People are invited to come downtown to see ice carvers and fire breathers, while also enjoying wings from the 15 restaurants competing to be this year’s King of the Wing.

Here is the schedule of events:

  • Ice Carving: 12:30-3:30PM at Cranford Hotel, River and Rail Cantina, and the gazebo

  • Fire Breathers: 12:30-3:30PM at Eastman Clock Plaza

  • Face Painting: 12-4PM at Thirsty Turtle

  • King of the Wing: 12-4PM Participating restaurants will be offering 3 wings for $5.

Downtown Cranford Director Caren Demyen said “Fire & Ice has become one of our most anticipated winter events and we’re thrilled we were able to build upon it this year with additional ice carving stations as well as fire breathers and face painting. Fire & Ice brings people downtown and gives them a reason to walk around. It’s not always easy to convince people to come out during the winter but the chance to see fire breathers, ice carvers, and taste some delicious wings, are a big incentive! This year’s Fire & Ice event wouldn’t have been possible without the support of our sponsors. Thank you to Wonder, Home Got Owned, Playa Bowls Cranford, River and Rail Cantina, Shannon Della Fortuna Real Estate, Thirsty Turtle Tap & Grill – Cranford, and Track 5 Coffee. We appreciate your support of our Downtown Cranford events and community!”

15 restaurants will be competing for the King of the Wing trophy. Last year’s winner was Ani Ramen, and they’re looking to defend their crown this year. Only one vote separated 1st and 2nd place last year and the big question is: who will be victorious this year?
