Inklightened, a Tattoo and Piercing Parlor, Opens in Downtown Cranford

In May, the Downtown Cranford office was thrilled to hold a ribbon cutting for Inklightened, a tattoo and piercing parlor located at 113 Miln Street.

Inklightened owner Max Galindo first became interested in the art of tattooing when he was in high school. He had always taken art classes, but his interest in tattoos was piqued when his older sister got her first tattoo. Max got his first tattoo, the Pisces symbol, at 15. He then bought his own equipment and taught himself how to tattoo from reading books and getting a number of tattoos himself. When he was only a junior in high school, Max started working as a tattoo artist in New York City.

In 2013, Max opened his own business. When his landlord was looking to sell the building, Max began the search for a new space. Growing up in Elizabeth, Max had visited Cranford often when he was young. Now as the owner of a successful business, Max saw the appeal of the town with its walkability and restaurant options. A larger space was needed for Max and his employees, and that space was found at 113 Miln Street.

“We take things to a different level here,” said Max. “Our artists are incredibly skilled and we offer a high-end experience. Clients come from all over and make a connection with our artists.”

Inklightened offers a range of tattoos. Max focuses on watercolor, while his employee Michael specializes in black and grey. In the time that Max has been waiting to open in Cranford, a number of his customers have been patiently waiting to book appointments. New clients of Inklightened can reach out and Max will have a consultation with them first to ensure that they come away with a lifetime work of art that they love.

“Everyone at Inklightened strives to give customers the best experience possible,” said Max. “I’m thrilled that we were able to bring our business to Cranford and introduce our customers to this town.”

Inklightened is located at 113 Miln Street and is open 7 days a week, Sunday-Thursday 12-8pm, and Friday and Saturday 12-10pm. You can visit the studio’s website, https://www.inklightened.com/, and also give them a call at 908-272-2111. Welcome to town Max and the entire crew at Inklightened!
