Last week, Downtown Cranford held two ribbon cuttings for established businesses. Downtown Cranford officially welcomed Max & Luna to its new location at 102A North Union Ave! Owner Cori Eberling Ardente was eager to move the baby and children’s boutique to a larger space, allowing her to expand the store’s selection. “When I found out the location was available, I couldn’t pass up the chance to have Max & Luna next to my other store, Anthem style & gift. The new space offers better visibility and I’m able to offer clothing in a larger size range, as well as new items like baby and toddler shoes, pool toys, and more.”
Congratulations to Cori and the entire team at Max & Luna!
The Downtown Cranford office welcomed Stephanie Kanaval as the new owner of Hickory & Hill General Store! The reopening celebration was attended by DMC Board members, Mayor Prunty, Commissioner Andrews, Cranford Area Chamber of Commerce, and Stephanie’s family members.
Stephanie had previously worked at Hickory & Hill, as she hoped to one day open her own boutique. “I loved the store and worked there as a way to learn what running a business entails. When Kelli approached me with the opportunity to take over the business, I couldn’t turn it down.”
Stephanie has refreshed the space with paint, new seating, and updated displays. She has also added a section that includes children’s books, gifts, and crafts, and plans to bring in more items in the near future. “I’d also love to offer classes here,” said Kelli. “Our family has lived in Cranford for five years and I’ve made a lot of connections and friends. My hope for Hickory & Hill is to turn it into a real community spot.”
Hickory & Hill is located at 21 North Avenue West and can be reached by calling (908) 447-6955.
