Last week, Downtown Cranford held a ribbon cutting to officially welcome Craft Protein Bar to the business community! Owner Kamily Flores grew up in Elizabeth, the oldest of five siblings. A few years ago Kamily’s parents began making healthier lifestyle changes and wanted to share their favorite healthy options with the community. They ended up opening The Protein House in Elizabeth, where Kamily would often work and which inspired her to open a business that would serve up the same healthy options. Though she is only 19 and is a full-time college student, that didn’t hold Kamily back. She took the leap to becoming a business owner and opened Craft Protein Bar, located at 38 North Avenue East.

Craft’s specialty is protein shakes that can serve as meal replacements. The protein shakes come in mouthwatering flavors including Fruity Pebbles, Cookie Drip, Banana Pudding, and Chocomint. Customers can also enjoy tea and coffee drinks and Kamily will be introducing mini protein donuts shortly. In the future, she’s also looking to add protein waffles and protein bowls.

Craft Protein Bar is currently open 7 days a week, 7AM-6PM Monday through Saturday and 8AM-11AM Sunday. You can follow Craft on Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/craft.nj/) to stay up to date on new menu items and promotions.

“I’m so happy that I get to open my business in Cranford,” said Kamily. “I like that there are a number of family owned businesses here. My parents came to this country when they were just 19 and they’ve given me so much. I wouldn’t be doing this without the example they set for me and my siblings of always reaching for your dreams.”
