Yesterday evening, the Downtown Cranford office officially welcomed the owners of Vine & Oak Tavern to Cranford. Vine & Oak Tavern is located at 100 South Avenue East and is owned by Charlie Magjuni, Sam Bek and Emin Aydin. Between the three of them, the partners have opened eight restaurants in the area and they’re excited to welcome people to Vine & Oak Tavern.

The restaurant is 5,000 square feet and the space was completely renovated from what was formerly a bank. The menu offers up American comfort food with a Mediterranean/Italian twist and standout dishes include wood fired pizza, steaks, fresh seafood, and house made pasta. All of the desserts are homemade as well. The entire menu can be viewed on the restaurant’s website here: https://www.vineandoaktavern.com/menu/. The restaurant includes a full bar with a selection of cocktails, wine, and beer. In the near future, Charlie, Sam and Emin plan to offer outdoor seating, weekend brunch, and private party accommodations.

Vine & Oak has received a warm reception from the community since it first opened its doors a few weeks ago. “A number of people comment on how impressed they are with the space when they first walk through the door,” said Charlie. “We knew that we wanted the restaurant to have a modern style that would be at home in a place like New York City or Las Vegas. We really felt that we needed to take advantage of this unique space and differentiate ourselves from other restaurants in the area.”

Charlie and Sam have worked in the Union County area for 20 years and had been on the lookout for the perfect space. “I was hopeful that we would be able to find a location in Downtown Cranford, and when we came across this space and were able to procure a liquor license, we knew it was the perfect fit,” said Charlie.

Vine & Oak Tavern is currently open for dinner 7 days a week. Reservations can be made on Opentable.com, and people can also enjoy walk-in seating at the bar.
