Yesterday, Downtown Cranford, DMC Board members, and Township Commissioner Kathleen Miller Prunty officially welcomed The Curious Heart Shop to the business community! After Mary Kate Santulli opened an essential oil pop up in Ciao Amici in 2021, she realized she had tapped into an unmet need. That led to a storefront in Westfield, though by the end of last year Mary Kate was looking for a second space to expand her retail and service offerings. When she learned the space at 11 North Union Avenue was available, Mary Kate wasted no time in signing the lease.
Mary Kate describes The Curious Heart Shop as a spiritual center centered around holistic items and services. The store is stocked with natural body care, crystals, custom essential oils, handmade art and jewelry, clothing, accessories and furniture from Cheech and Roo, card decks, books, and more.
“I want to offer people the tools to help them live their best lives,” said Mary Kate. “My journey has led me to meet other like-minded entrepeneurs, which is one of the reasons I needed a second space. My space in Westfield will continue to offer larger workshops and other services, while my new Cranford location will host small workshops, tarot card readings, and reiki, in addition to retail. We also have an essential oil blending bar, where I can work with customers to create a custom oil that addresses their particular concerns with appealing scents.”
The new space in Cranford came together quickly, thanks to Mary Kate’s hard work and the support of her friends and family. “My husband and children have encouraged and cheered me on every step of the way,” said Mary Kate. “I grew up in Cranford and I’m so excited to join the Downtown community. I’m looking forward to meeting new friends and welcoming old ones.”
The Curious Heart Shop’s hours of operation are Tuesday and Wednesday 11-6, Thursday-Friday 11-8, Saturday 11-5, and Sunday 12-5. For more information, including upcoming workshops and events, visit https://www.littlefloweressentialoilblends.com/.
